Quilting & Knitting Groups

Ritchot Senior Services is excited to be able to offer the quilting and knitting program out of the Howden Community Center this season. Enjoy the bright open space while connecting with friends new and old as you work together on a common goal.

This year we will be working on two very important projects.

We will continue to create lap quilts that will be created and donated to the Alzheimer society that will be giving to those suffering with Alzheimer and Dementia. For this project we are looking for anyone interested in helping to create these beautiful pieces. There are so many different pieces that go into making a quilt that you do not need to be a professional seamstress, only a willingness to help.

Prefer knitting? We've got you covered! We'll also be crafting knit items like lap blankets and winter wear, all destined for various programs aimed at bringing warmth and comfort to those in need.

All supplies will be supplied thanks to generous community donations.

Where: Howden Community Center 1078 Red River DR.

When: Wednesdays April 10th & 24th

Fuel your creative spirit with complimentary coffee and tea. Feel free to bring along your lunch, spend quality time with like-minded community members, and together, let's make a difference through our shared passion

A foot care nurse can provide treatment, offer referrals for added care where needed, as well as assess circulation, sensation and mobility issues and risk for diabetic ulcers.
